The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling concrete batching plants and related equipment, identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The role requires a combination of technical knowledge and sales expertise to provide suitable solutions to customers in the construction and infrastructure industry.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Generate new leads and identify potential customers in the construction, infrastructure, and ready-mix concrete (RMC) sectors.
- Promote and sell batching plants, spare parts, and related equipment.
- Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, builders, and consultants.
Customer Management
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tender documents.
- Negotiate commercial terms and finalize sales orders.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely follow-ups.
Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance regarding batching plant specifications and applications.
- Coordinate with the design, production, and service teams for project execution.
- Assist customers with equipment selection based on project requirements.
- Support installation and commissioning activities when required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Update CRM/database with customer and project information.
- Track competitor activities and market trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing (preferred).
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in sales of batching plants, construction equipment, heavy machinery, or industrial products.
- Freshers with strong technical and communication skills may also apply.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
