About the Role
Amity University Ranchi invites applications from accomplished academicians, industry professionals, researchers, technologists and domain experts for Visiting Faculty, Professor of Practice and Adjunct Faculty positions in Computer Science and allied areas.
The selected professionals will contribute to academic delivery, industry-oriented learning, mentoring, practical training, curriculum enrichment and research activities. Amity University Ranchi has dedicated departments in Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science, IT and allied disciplines.
- Conduct engaging lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, workshops and seminars.
- Bring industry-oriented knowledge, emerging technologies and real-world case studies into classroom teaching.
- Mentor students on projects, internships, capstone projects and career development.
- Support curriculum development and enhancement in line with current industry and technological trends.
- Facilitate hands-on learning through live projects, coding exercises, case studies and technology demonstrations.
- Guide students in emerging areas such as AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and Software Engineering.
- Participate in FDPs, conferences, guest lectures, hackathons and other academic activities.
- Develop industry-academia collaborations and contribute to experiential learning initiatives.
- Contribute to research, consultancy, innovation and entrepreneurship activities wherever applicable.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, presentations, examinations and other assessment methods.
- Maintain academic standards and ensure effective delivery of assigned courses.

Eligibility / Preferred Profile
- For Visiting/Adjunct Faculty: Ph.D./Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Engineering or a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- For Professor of Practice: Accomplished professionals with substantial industry experience and demonstrated expertise in relevant technology domains.
- Strong academic, research or professional credentials in the relevant specialization.
- Teaching/training experience in higher education will be an advantage.
- Industry certifications, patents, publications, projects or significant technology contributions will be desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, mentoring and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver practical, application-oriented and technology-enabled learning.
