Job Purpose
To ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment by implementing and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) systems, reducing accidents, ensuring statutory compliance, and building a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Management
- Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of shop floor, machines, material handling, and work areas.
- Ensure machine guarding, PPE usage, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and safe work practices are followed.
- Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.
- Lead accident prevention programs and safety campaigns.
2. Accident & Incident Management
- Investigate all accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences.
- Prepare accident investigation reports with root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with HR, Production, and Legal teams in case of serious accidents.
- Maintain accident and incident records as per statutory requirements.
3. Statutory & Legal Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- Factories Act
- State Safety Rules
- ESI, Workmen Compensation
- Fire & Emergency regulations
- Maintain all statutory registers, safety records, and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with Factory Inspector, Fire Department, and other authorities.
4. Safety Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety induction for new employees, contract workers, and visitors.
- Organize periodic safety training programs for operators, supervisors, and managers.
- Conduct tool box talks and safety briefings.
- Create awareness on machine safety, electrical safety, fire safety, and emergency response.
5. EHS Systems & Audits
- Develop and maintain EHS management systems and SOPs.
- Conduct internal safety audits and risk assessments.
- Support ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 audits (if applicable).
- Monitor compliance of contractors and vendors with safety standards.
6. Fire & Emergency Preparedness
- Maintain fire fighting equipment, emergency exits, and evacuation plans.
- Conduct mock drills and emergency response training.
- Act as key coordinator during any emergency.
7. Environment Management
- Monitor waste disposal, hazardous material handling, and pollution control.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with Pollution Control Board and waste management vendors.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or Environmental Engineering
- Mandatory: NEBOSH / ADIS / DIS or equivalent certification
- 3 - 8 years’ experience in manufacturing / heavy engineering / industrial plants.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
