Job Title: Spray Dryer Operator
Location: SDCPL, Surat/Bharuch, Gujarat
Shift: Rotational shifts (24x7 operations)
Role Overview
Operate and manage a medium-scale spray dryer (2,000 kg/hr water evaporation capacity) to ensure consistent product quality, plant safety, and adherence to GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor all spray dryer functions (feed, atomization, drying, powder recovery) via SCADA/DCS systems
Start-up, shutdown, and changeover of the dryer as per SOPs
Monitor process parameters (inlet/outlet temperature, feed rate, pressure) and adjust for optimal yield and quality
Perform routine equipment checks, minor troubleshooting, and coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns
Maintain shift logs, batch records, and production reports
Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and plant safety protocols
Coordinate handover between shifts for uninterrupted operations
Requirements
ITI/Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
Prior experience operating spray dryers, preferably in a GMP-certified food or pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing facility
Working knowledge of SCADA/PLC-based control systems
Willingness to work in rotational shifts
Attention to detail, discipline in documentation, and basic troubleshooting ability
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
