Full-Time International Sales Role – CMI India Factory

Company Overview
CMI India Limited is a manufacturing and export-focused business based in India, with its factory located in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh.
CMI India currently manufactures pest control traps and is being developed to supply products, components, assemblies, and manufacturing services to customers across international markets.
The business is part of the wider CMI group, which has experience in spring manufacturing, garage door springs, wire products, pest control products, industrial components, OEM supply, and export customer development.
CMI India is looking for a proactive full-time Sales Person who can help find new factory work by researching companies, contacting potential customers, introducing CMI India’s manufacturing capabilities, and developing sales opportunities across the world.
Main Purpose of the Role
The main purpose of this role is to find new customers and new work for the CMI India factory.
This is a sales role. The person should be able to research potential customers, identify decision-makers, make contact, introduce CMI India professionally, follow up, qualify opportunities, and close sales where possible.
The role is not simply to collect company names or send emails. The purpose is to create real business opportunities, enquiries, RFQs, orders, and ongoing customer relationships for CMI India.
Key Focus Areas
The Sales Person will look for international opportunities for products and manufacturing work that CMI India can supply.
Initial focus areas may include:
- Pest control products currently manufactured by CMI India
- Sectional garage door springs
- Spring products and wire forms
- Industrial components and assemblies
- OEM manufacturing work
- Export supply opportunities
- Other suitable factory work that CMI India may be able to manufacture or support
The person should not limit their search to India or New Zealand. The role requires international outreach across suitable markets, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia, and other regions where CMI India may be able to supply products or manufacturing services.
Main Responsibilities
The Sales Person should have the capability to research suitable companies, find the correct contact people, and contact potential customers by email, phone, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, online enquiry channels, and other suitable methods.
They should be able to introduce CMI India’s manufacturing capabilities, send supplier flyers, company information, product information, or other approved sales material, and follow up professionally to create genuine sales conversations.
The person should be able to verify the correct contact person, their role in the business, the size of the company, the type of products the company buys, manufactures, imports, or distributes, their possible order volume, current supplier arrangements, and whether there is genuine potential for CMI India to supply them.
Sales Ownership
The Sales Person is expected to take ownership of the sales process where practical.
Where the opportunity is straightforward, within agreed pricing or supply guidelines, and does not require technical or senior management input, the Sales Person should continue the sales process and work to close the sale directly.
Opportunities should only be passed to the Group Manager when additional support is required. This may include technical questions, special pricing, large volume opportunities, custom manufacturing requirements, contract discussions, samples, drawings, product development, or strategic customers.
Skills Required
The candidate should have strong English communication skills, confidence making phone calls, good email writing ability, and experience in B2B sales, export sales, industrial sales, or international customer outreach.
They should be confident using Google, LinkedIn, company websites, trade portals, email, Excel, Google Sheets, and CRM-style records.
The person must be organised, proactive, persistent, professional, and able to communicate clearly with international companies.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering products, industrial supply, garage door products, pest control products, distributor development, OEM customer development, or export sales would be an advantage.
Success in the Role
Success will be measured by suitable companies contacted, decision-makers reached, positive replies received, enquiries created, RFQs generated, quotations progressed, sales closed, and the quality of customer information recorded.
Role Definition
This is a full-time Sales Person role focused on finding work for the CMI India factory, beneficial if lives locally.
Research is part of the role, but the main objective is sales activity: creating real business opportunities, developing customer interest, following up, closing sales where possible, and helping build international factory work for CMI India.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
