About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to design, develop, and evaluate engaging learning experiences for our employees and/or customers. You will partner with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex information into clear, effective, and measurable training solutions across multiple formats — including eLearning, instructor-led training, video, and job aids.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop instructionally sound learning content (eLearning modules, ILT/VILT materials, microlearning, job aids, videos, and assessments) using established instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Partner with SMEs and stakeholders to conduct needs analyses and translate business/performance goals into clear learning objectives
- Write storyboards, scripts, and course outlines that are accurate, engaging, and aligned to adult learning principles
- Build interactive courses using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and publish to the LMS
- Develop assessments and evaluation strategies to measure learning effectiveness (e.g., Kirkpatrick's model)
- Maintain and update existing training content to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Apply UX/UI and visual design best practices to create polished, accessible learning materials (WCAG/508 compliance)
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Gather and incorporate feedback from learners, SMEs, and stakeholders through iterative reviews
- Stay current on instructional design trends, learning technologies, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in instructional design or curriculum development
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, or similar)
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy)
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and SCORM/xAPI standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storyboarding and scriptwriting
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Portfolio demonstrating instructional design work (course samples, storyboards, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, or related field
- Experience with graphic design or video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Vyond)
- Familiarity with UX design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, Section 508)
- Experience designing for a specific industry (e.g., healthcare, tech, retail, compliance)
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript for custom eLearning interactions
- Certification in instructional design (e.g., CPLP, ATD certification)
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
