Job Title: ALS Ambulance Medical Technician (EMT) For 1033 Ambulance

Job Summary
The ALS Ambulance Medical Technician is responsible for providing emergency medical care and safe patient transportation in an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance. The technician assists paramedics and medical officers during emergencies, ensures ambulance readiness, and maintains patient care records.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care
- Assess and monitor patients during emergency and non-emergency transport.
- Provide basic and advanced emergency medical care as per protocols.
- Assist paramedics and doctors during medical procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and document patient conditions.
- Administer oxygen therapy and assist with airway management.
- Perform CPR and other life-saving interventions when required.
Ambulance Operations
- Ensure the ambulance is clean, stocked, and operational at all times.
- Check and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
- Verify functionality of monitors, defibrillators, suction units, oxygen systems, and other ALS equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions and arrange for repairs.
Documentation
- Complete Patient Care Reports (PCR) accurately and promptly.
- Maintain records of medications, consumables, and equipment usage.
- Prepare incident and shift reports as required.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Adhere to organizational policies and government regulations.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Communication
- Coordinate with hospitals, dispatch centers, and emergency response teams.
- Communicate patient status effectively during handovers.
- Support teamwork and maintain professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Certification in Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) or equivalent.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and ambulance operations.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
