Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and Strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth across our B2B and B2C segments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for lead generation, building strong networks with architects and designers (B2B), and managing direct client relationships (B2C). You will be the bridge between initial design concepts and final project estimation, ensuring technical feasibility and high conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Networking (B2B & B2C)
B2B: Proactively identify and build long-term partnerships with architects, interior designers, and builders across the industry.
B2C: Direct lead generation through various channels to convert homeowners and individual clients into customers.
Act as the primary point of contact for architects, Builders, Interior contractors, Designers and End consumers, when they require execution partners for interior and modular work.
Requirement Analysis & Design Improvisation
Consult with architects and clients to understand their specific interior requirements.
Improvise & Consult: Suggest design improvements or functional upgrades based on the client's vision and space utility.
Consultative Refinement: When a customer’s desired design poses a risk to the long-term life of the furniture, the BDM must explain the technical constraints clearly and offer an optimized alternative that fulfills their aesthetic "desire" without compromising quality.
Technical Feasibility & Execution Planning
Evaluate the feasibility of complex designs before project approval.
Assess site conditions and modular constraints to ensure the proposed design can be executed by the production and execution team without possible
technical errors.
Act as a technical consultant to ensure "what is promised" can be "what is
delivered.
Quotation, Estimation & Closing
Generate Estimations: Should have the ability to Prepare detailed project quotations and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on the requirement.
Cost Negotiation: Present the project cost to the customer or architect with a clear value proposition.
Client Convincing: Use strong negotiation and communication skills to justify project costs and close the deal.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 4–6 years in Sales/BD within the Interior, Modular industry.
Technical Knowledge: Must understand the technicalities of modular kitchen/wardrobe construction and general interior materials.
Financial Literacy: Ability to accurately calculate margins, taxes, and material costs to generate competitive quotations.
Communication: Excellent presentation skills with the ability to "sell the dream" while remaining grounded in feasibility.
Education: Degree in Bachelors in Interior Design or Architecture or Business Management in Sales or a related field.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of active Architect/B2B partnerships established.
Conversion rate from initial lead to signed contract.
Accuracy of project estimations (variance between quoted cost and actual execution cost).
