Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineer with expertise in forging and casting components. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of product and die design, costing and pricing, fixture and gauge design, and automotive quality documentation such as PPAP, APQP, process flow charts, and related quality documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop products and dies for forging and casting components.
- Prepare costing and pricing for new and existing forging/casting components.
- Evaluate the technical feasibility of new component development.
- Participate in value engineering and cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop and modify 2D/3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Design fixtures, gauges, and tooling required for production and inspection.
- Prepare and maintain PPAP, APQP, Process Flow Charts, Control Plans, and other quality documentation.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and customer teams during new product development.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to design, process, and cost optimization.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of forging and casting processes.
- Hands-on experience in product and die design.
- Experience in component costing and pricing.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of fixture and gauge design.
- Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, Process Flow, Control Plan, and quality documentation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience in forging/casting industry.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
