Job SummaryWe are looking for an IT Service Technician to support the installation and maintenance of structured cabling infrastructure. The role involves cable pulling, laying, trenching, conduit installation, termination, testing, and assisting in network and CCTV deployments at client sites.Key Responsibilities
- Pull, lay, route, and secure network, fiber optic, telephone, and power cables.
- Perform trenching, ducting, conduit installation, and cable containment work.
- Install cable trays, raceways, trunking, and conduits.
- Terminate and label CAT6, CAT6A, fiber optic, and other communication cables.
- Assist in the installation of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, and security systems.
- Conduct cable testing and troubleshooting using appropriate testing equipment.
- Read and follow cable layout drawings, floor plans, and installation diagrams.
- Ensure proper cable management and adherence to industry standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials required for site work.
- Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE while working on-site.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and project teams to complete installations within timelines.
- Prepare daily work reports and installation documentation.
Required Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in structured cabling, networking, or electrical installations.
- Experience in cable pulling, trenching, conduit work, and cable termination.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and IT infrastructure.
- Ability to read technical drawings and installation plans.
- Physically fit and willing to work at outdoor sites and heights when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with fiber optic splicing and testing.
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and networking equipment installation.
- Familiarity with cable certification tools and OTDR testing.
- Valid driving license will be an added advantage.
