Summary:
As a Cloud Migration Engineer, a typical day involves evaluating current systems and infrastructure to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments. This role includes strategizing and executing the migration of applications and data, ensuring that the solutions implemented are scalable and optimized for performance. The position requires close collaboration with various teams to align migration efforts with business goals, while continuously monitoring progress and addressing any challenges that arise during the migration process. The engineer plays a key role in enabling organizations to leverage both private and public cloud technologies to achieve advanced operational capabilities and improved business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration and integration of applications and data.
- Monitor and optimize cloud migration processes to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Document migration plans, processes, and outcomes to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support during migration activities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Architecture.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Oracle GoldenGate.
- Strong knowledge of database migration strategies and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and their infrastructure components.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance and migration.
- Experience in designing scalable and high-performance database solutions.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle Database Architecture.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
