Job Summary
We are looking for a Field Engineer – Shipping & Documentation who will be responsible for handling field visits and documentation-related activities with shipping lines, freight forwarders, logistics partners, and banks.
The role primarily involves visiting shipping lines and other external stakeholders to submit, collect, verify, and obtain signatures/stamps on shipping and logistics documents, ensuring that all required documentation and formalities are completed smoothly and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit shipping lines, freight forwarders, logistics partners, and banks for documentation and other operational requirements.
- Primarily coordinate with shipping lines for submission, collection, verification, and completion of required documents.
- Submit and collect Bill of Lading (BL), Shipping Instructions (SI), and other shipping-related documents.
- Obtain required signatures, stamps, approvals, and acknowledgements from relevant authorities/stakeholders.
- Coordinate with shipping lines and freight forwarders regarding documentation requirements and status.
- Visit banks for submission/collection of documents and completion of required formalities, whenever required.
- Ensure documents are submitted to the appropriate parties and collected within the required timelines.
- Coordinate with the internal operations team regarding document status and field activities.
- Maintain proper records of documents submitted, collected, and completed.
- Handle multiple field visits and ensure timely completion of assigned documentation-related tasks.
Requirements
- Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
- Prior experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or documentation will be preferred.
- Good understanding of shipping and logistics documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable with regular field visits and dealing with external stakeholders.
- Two-wheeler/Bike is mandatory.
- Valid Driving Licence is required.
- Good knowledge of local routes and locations, with the ability to navigate efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per year
