- Machine Operation: Start, monitor, and stop milling equipment (e.g., color sorters, magnets, de-stoners, rollers, and packaging lines) during a shift.
- Routine Adjustments: Regulate material feed rates and monitor machine temperatures, gauges, and speeds to prevent jams.
- First-Line Troubleshooting: Quickly spot chokes, broken sieve screens, or unusual machine sounds, and report them immediately to the Miller.
- Housekeeping & Sanitation: Keep the designated work area spotlessly clean. Sweep flour dust, clear spills, and blow out machines to prevent insect infestation.
- Sampling: Regularly collect samples of wheat, flour, or bran from the production line and deliver them to the lab for quality checks.
