Job Title: Valve Technician – Shipbuilding
Job Description:
Install, dismantle, inspect, repair, and maintain marine valves onboard ships and shipyard projects.
Perform valve overhauling, lapping, testing, and calibration as per technical specifications.
Identify defects, leakages, and operational issues in valves and related equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&ID diagrams, and technical manuals.
Conduct pressure testing and functional testing of valves after repair.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and shipyard regulations.
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades during maintenance activities.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work records properly.
Requirements:
ITI/Diploma or relevant technical qualification.
Experience in marine, shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or industrial valve maintenance.
Knowledge of gate, globe, butterfly, ball, safety relief, and control valves.
Ability to work in confined spaces and onboard vessels.
Good understanding of safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
