Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head North Indian Chef to lead our kitchen operations and deliver authentic, high-quality North Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of traditional recipes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of authentic North Indian dishes such as curries, tandoori items, breads, and regional specialties
- Design and update the menu with innovative and traditional dishes
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards as per FSSAI guidelines
- Monitor inventory, control food costs, and reduce wastage
- Coordinate with management for menu planning and special events
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef specializing in North Indian cuisine
- Strong expertise in tandoor, gravies, and regional dishes
- Leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
