Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Weaving Shift Fitter to maintain and troubleshoot Picanol 340 cm Airjet Weaving Machines. The successful candidate will ensure maximum machine uptime, minimize breakdowns, and support consistent production and fabric quality while adhering to safety and maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend machine breakdowns and restore production with minimum downtime.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on Picanol 340 cm Airjet looms.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, lubrication, and air supply systems.
- Carry out timing, beat-up, let-off, take-up, and weft insertion adjustments.
- Replace and align machine components such as reeds, heald frames, nozzles, valves, sensors, belts, bearings, and gears.
- Monitor loom performance and reduce warp and weft-related stoppages.
- Coordinate with weaving operators to improve machine efficiency and fabric quality.
- Ensure proper functioning of electronic sensors and airjet components.
- Maintain daily maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and shift handover records.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and 5S practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- ITI Fitter, ITI Mechanic Textile Machinery, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3–6 years of experience in maintaining Picanol Airjet Weaving Machines, preferably 340 cm width.
- Experience in weaving maintenance within a textile manufacturing environment.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Picanol Airjet loom mechanics and maintenance.
- Expertise in pneumatic systems, lubrication systems, and machine alignment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve loom breakdowns efficiently.
- Understanding of weaving processes, loom settings, and fabric quality requirements.
- Ability to read maintenance manuals and technical drawings.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
