Job Description: Online Tutor (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology–International Curricula)
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced online tutors to deliver high‑quality instruction in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for international curricula including IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), A‑Levels, and Advanced Placement (AP). The ideal candidate will combine subject mastery with strong pedagogical skills, ensuring students achieve academic excellence and confidence in global examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 1‑on‑1 and small group online sessions tailored to student needs.
- Teach and clarify concepts across IBDP HL/SL, A‑Level (AS/A2), and AP courses.
- Prepare students for internal assessments, extended essays, and external exams.
- Design diagnostic assessments, practice papers, and progression plans.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents on performance and improvement areas.
- Incorporate interactive tools, simulations, and problem‑solving strategies in lessons.
- Stay updated with curriculum changes, exam formats, and international standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience in international curricula (IBDP, A‑Levels, AP).
- Strong grasp of exam structures, marking schemes, and assessment rubrics.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms, digital whiteboards, and assessment tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience mentoring students from different countries i.e. well aware of syllabus and in depth knowledge of curriculum.
- Ability to design cross‑curricular projects and inquiry‑based learning modules.
- Strong diagnostic interviewing skills to identify student learning gaps.
- Flexibility to work with students across different time zones.
