Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Drafting: Generate and update precise drawings such as instrument schematic diagrams, loop diagrams, termination schematics, hook-up drawings, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings (GAD) of system.
- Layout & Routing: Draft cable tray layouts, junction box locations, marshalling cabinet arrangements, and impulse or tubing line routings.
- Software Utilization: Utilize specialized CAD and 3D modelling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Smart Plant, E3D) to build and update design assets.
- Compliance: Ensure all drafting outputs align with industry codes and design practices, such as ISA S5.1 and IEC standards.
- Material Estimation: Calculate and prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for bulk instrumentation materials like cables, tubing, fittings, and trays.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate directly with mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, and process engineers to ensure alignment on equipment specifications, tag coordination, and I/O lists.
Technical Requirements:
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting is essential)
* Knowledge of SPI, MicroStation, or E3D (preferred)
* Understanding of instrumentation symbols, PLC/DCS systems, and cable routing
Qualifications & Experience:
* Diploma / ITI in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field
* 1–5 years of relevant experience (preferred)
* AutoCAD certification
