Job Summary:
We are looking for a customer-focused and technically knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our Hyundai Service Department. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer vehicle concerns, preparing job cards, coordinating with technicians, explaining service requirements and estimates, and ensuring timely and quality vehicle delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and understand their vehicle service and repair requirements.
- Inspect the vehicle and accurately record customer complaints and service requirements.
- Prepare job cards with complete and accurate details.
- Explain service requirements, repair estimates, parts and labour charges to customers.
- Obtain customer approval before carrying out additional repairs.
- Coordinate with technicians and the workshop team for timely completion of service.
- Monitor vehicle repair/service progress and ensure promised delivery timelines are met.
- Keep customers updated regarding service status, additional repairs and delivery time.
- Conduct/coordinate quality checks before vehicle delivery.
- Explain completed work, replaced parts and billing details to customers.
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and ensure proper resolution.
- Coordinate warranty-related service requirements and documentation.
- Maintain accurate customer and service records in the dealership system/DMS.
- Follow Hyundai service procedures, safety standards and dealership policies.
- Promote periodic maintenance, value-added services, service packages and other relevant after-sales offerings.
- Conduct post-service follow-up and maintain good customer relationships.
- Work towards achieving customer satisfaction and service department performance targets.
Qualification:
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Candidates with relevant automobile service knowledge may also be considered.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in an automobile dealership preferred.
Skills Required
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Basic knowledge of automobile systems and servicing
- Problem-solving ability
- Good negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of MS Office / DMS is an advantage
- Ability to coordinate with technicians and workshop staff
- Good time-management skills
- Customer-oriented attitude
