Responsibilities:
- Understand electrical architecture of HEV/EV
- Define the system diagram, controller architecture, interfaces (electrical and physical), and functions for powertrain system of HEV/EV
- Define the requirements for powertrain systems and controls for HEV/EV, including system and component sizing requirements
- Develop the powertrain functions and software, including logic development, MIL evaluation, HIL evaluation and vehicle level validation using MBD approach
- Develop diagnostics for powertrain controllers
- Implement ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements
- Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking, and database creation
- Working with stakeholders within the organization and outside (suppliers, consultants) for the above development.
Technical/ Functional:
Necessary
- Working experience of automobile powertrain system & controls (HEV/EV)
- ECU system & control design and development, System Sizing, Verification and Validation. Familiarity with on board diagnostics.
Experience in function testing at vehicle level Experience of Model Based Design with Matlab Simulink/State flow
Experience in testing at controller level (HIL) and vehicle level Exposure to appropriate Regulations and Standards of HEV/EV
- ECU testing, excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills
Desirable
- Exposure to hybrid and electric powertrain
- Knowledge of ISO 26262.
