- Job Title: Manager – Costing & Plant Accounts
- Education: Legally qualified CMA (ICWA)
- Experience: 8 to 9 years of post-qualification experience in manufacturing setup (Chemical or Process industry preferred)
- Job Location: Corporate Office - Chembur, Mumbai West
- Travel Frequency: Regular and frequent visits to the plant
Core Responsibilities
1. Plant Costing & Inventory Control
- Develop and maintain accurate standard costing systems for chemical formulations and batch manufacturing.
- Track, analyze, and optimize Bill of Materials (BOM) consumption patterns at the Rasal facility.
- Conduct variance analysis (Material, Labor, and Overheads) to evaluate exact production costs against benchmarks.
- Perform monthly valuation of raw materials, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and finished goods in compliance with cost accounting standards.
2. Plant Accounting & Operations Oversight (During Plant Visits)
- Conduct physical verification of inventory and fixed assets periodically during on-site plant visits.
- Monitor shop-floor waste, yield fluctuations, and production efficiencies directly with the plant operations team.
- Supervise factory-level expenses, freight costs, and utility accounts to identify hidden cost leakages.
- Review internal controls surrounding material movement between the warehouse and the manufacturing lines. [7]
3. Budgeting, MIS & Decision Support
- Design and present detailed plant performance Management Information System (MIS) reports to senior leadership.
- Drive the annual budgeting and rolling forecast exercises for plant operational expenditures (OpEx).
- Assist the business development team with product pricing strategies, contribution margin analytics, and break-even calculations.
4. Statutory Cost Audits & Compliance
- Lead the preparation, finalization, and documentation required for statutory Cost Audits under MCA guidelines.
- Ensure end-to-end reconciliation between cost records and financial books of accounts.
- Coordinate with internal and external cost auditors to handle statutory queries seamlessly.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Technical: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle Costing modules preferred), MS Excel, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Industry Domain: Thorough understanding of process manufacturing, chemical yield calculations, and batch-wise costing methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to act as a seamless liaison between the Chembur corporate finance desk and the plant operations team.
Pay: ₹1,098,948.86 - ₹1,474,485.85 per year
