Workfall is a new-age premium talent tech platform, looking for Python Backend Developer - AI/Automation to join our team. As a Python Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting AI-enabled automation solutions. The role combines backend application development, workflow automation, and integration of AI/GenAI capabilities to improve business processes. You will work closely with stakeholders to build scalable Python-based solutions, support AI-driven workflows, and contribute to continuous model improvement through feedback and monitoring mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and automation solutions
- Build and support backend services, APIs, and workflow integrations
- Develop and enhance AI-enabled business workflows and process automation solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and implement solutions
- Support AI model feedback loops, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing automation applications
- Ensure code quality, reliability, performance, and maintainability through best development practices
- Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, and production support activities
- Contribute to documentation, reusable components, and technical standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, (BE / ME – Computer Science, Computer Science or IT , MCA).
- 3–4 years of experience in software development, automation, or backend application development
- Strong hands-on experience in production-grade Python application development
- Experience with at least one Python rest framework: FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, integrations, and workflow-based application development
- Familiarity with LLMs, AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic), and prompt engineering techniques
- Experience with databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
- Proficiency in version control (Git), debugging, testing (unit/integration), and code review practices
- Ability to support AI-enabled workflow development and ongoing model feedback loops
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, debugging and testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to GenAI or Agentic AI solutions (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI)
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI APIs
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Experience with Docker or containerized deployments
Pay: ₹1,300,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
