About the Role
Every successful elevator begins with a quality installation.
We are looking for a Field Technician – New Installation (Lifts & Elevators) who takes pride in precision, safety, and workmanship. This is a field-based role responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of elevator systems while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety practices, and project timelines.
You will work closely with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and customers to deliver safe and reliable vertical mobility solutions across a wide range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical and electrical installation of lifts and elevators in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, and company standards.
- Read and interpret installation drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Inspect site readiness prior to installation and report any deviations or concerns.
- Install guide rails, machine components, doors, car assemblies, controllers, wiring, and associated equipment.
- Perform alignment, adjustment, testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and customers throughout the installation process.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and installation procedures.
- Report installation progress, material shortages, technical issues, and site observations to the reporting manager.
- Maintain installation reports, checklists, and project documentation accurately.
- Support statutory inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handovers.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and safety gear.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe work practices at project sites.
- Assist in troubleshooting installation-related issues while ensuring timely project completion.
Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in Lift & Elevator Installation, Commissioning, or New Installation projects.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and a strong willingness to learn may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Hands-on knowledge of lift and elevator installation procedures.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GA drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Basic knowledge of installation tools, testing equipment, and safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and timely execution.
