Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Accounts Executive who is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations in a fast-paced wholesale distribution business dealing with electrical goods such as wires, switchgear, pumps, and bathroom accessories. This role involves handling high-volume transactions, inventory-linked accounting, vendor and customer management, and statutory compliance. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, efficient working capital management, and smooth coordination between accounts, sales, and warehouse operations in our client's office.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate books of accounts including purchase, sales, receipts, and payments
* Handle high-volume purchase and sales invoice entries related to electrical goods distribution
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including follow-up of outstanding payments
* Monitor inventory accounting, stock movement, and stock reconciliation with the warehouse
* Process vendor payments and manage supplier account reconciliations
* Perform bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and ledger scrutiny
* Prepare GST returns, reconciliation, and ensure timely statutory compliance
* Handle TDS compliance and other applicable tax requirements
* Generate periodic financial reports such as P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
* Coordinate with auditors and provide the required financial data and documentation
* Work closely with sales and logistics teams to ensure billing and stock accuracy
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies

Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation (GST, TDS)
* Experience in inventory-based accounting and a wholesale trading environment
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, or ERP systems
* Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders

Recruitment and Experience Requirements
* 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in wholesale, trading, or distribution industry
* Experience handling electrical goods, hardware, or similar product-based businesses will be an advantage
* Strong experience in inventory accounting and high transaction volume handling
* Ability to manage deadlines and multiple responsibilities efficiently
* Candidates located in or willing to work in Kunnamangalam, Calicut will be preferred
