Job Title: PRT Computer Science Teacher
Reports To: Principal/ Head of School / Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Teach computer science and digital literacy to primary school students (Classes I–V).
- Prepare and deliver interactive lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum.
- Introduce students to:
- Basic computer operations
- Keyboard and mouse skills
- Educational software and applications
- Basic coding concepts (where applicable)
- Internet safety and digital citizenship
- Conduct practical computer lab sessions and ensure students use equipment safely.
- Assess student learning through classwork, projects, quizzes, and practical activities.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Encourage creativity and problem-solving through technology-based activities.
- Integrate technology into classroom learning wherever appropriate.
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of computer lab resources and report technical issues promptly.
- Participate in school assemblies, meetings, parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and other school activities.
- Support extracurricular activities related to information technology, coding, robotics, or digital innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification (as per school/board requirements).
- Knowledge of primary-level computer science curriculum.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, educational software, and basic programming concepts.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.

- Patience and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Creativity in designing engaging technology-based learning activities.
- Knowledge of coding platforms such as Scratch or Blockly is an advantage.
- Ability to integrate ICT into teaching and learning.

Experience
- Previous teaching experience in a primary school is preferred.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may also be considered, depending on the institution.
