Position OverviewWe are seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making across our commercial real estate operations. This role will bridge business needs with technology solutions, analyze complex datasets, and deliver actionable insights that optimize our service delivery and client outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements Gathering Partner with stakeholders across property management, leasing, facilities management, and corporate solutions to identify business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. Conduct workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to document current-state workflows and design future-state solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze large datasets related to property performance, occupancy rates, lease administration, maintenance costs, and client portfolios. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide leadership with real-time insights into portfolio performance, market trends, and operational metrics. Use statistical analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Process Improvement Evaluate existing business processes across lease administration, work order management, vendor coordination, and client reporting. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for automation. Design and implement process improvements that reduce costs, improve service delivery times, and enhance client satisfaction.
Technology Implementation Support Serve as the business liaison during implementation of property management systems, IWMS platforms, financial reporting tools, and CRM solutions. Participate in system selection, vendor evaluation, user acceptance testing, and change management activities. Ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and user needs.
Stakeholder Management Build strong relationships with business leaders, property managers, facility managers, finance teams, and IT partners. Communicate analysis findings, project updates, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Manage expectations and facilitate consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
Required QualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, Information Systems, or related field. 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within commercial real estate, property management, facilities management, or professional services industries.
Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling) and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Familiarity with property management systems (Yardi, MRI, Argus) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is highly desirable.
Analytical Capabilities Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets. Experience creating financial models, forecasting scenarios, and conducting variance analysis. Proven ability to identify trends, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations that impact business strategy.
Business Acumen Understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals including lease structures, property operations, financial metrics (NOI, cap rates, occupancy costs), and industry trends. Knowledge of facilities management practices, workplace services, and corporate real estate strategies is advantageous.
Preferred QualificationsCertification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or data analytics. Experience with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Exposure to emerging technologies including AI, IoT sensors for building management, or predictive analytics platforms.
