The IP Billing Executive is responsible for managing inpatient billing operations, ensuring accurate billing, timely claim processing, insurance coordination, and smooth patient discharge procedures. The role involves close coordination with nursing stations, pharmacy, laboratory, insurance desk, and finance department to ensure complete and error-free billing in compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
- Prepare interim and final inpatient bills accurately.
- Verify patient admission details, treatment records, doctor orders, investigations, pharmacy charges, and consumables before bill generation.
- Coordinate with wards, ICU, OT, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and other departments for charge entry reconciliation.
- Handle insurance, corporate, and TPA billing processes including pre-authorization and claim documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of bills for cashless and reimbursement cases.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and clarify billing-related queries to patients and attendants professionally.
- Maintain billing registers, patient financial records, and daily billing reports.
- Monitor patient deposits, pending bills, refunds, and outstanding balances.
- Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies, statutory regulations, and NABH documentation requirements.
- Support audit activities and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform shift handover and maintain accurate records in Hospital Information System (HIS).
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Hospital Administration / Healthcare Management / Any Graduate.
- Certification or Diploma in Medical Billing or Hospital Administration preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in IP billing in a hospital setting.
- Experience in NABH accredited hospitals preferred.
Pay: ₹10,934.91 - ₹15,905.33 per month
