Role Overview
The Head of Purchase will be responsible for leading the procurement function, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, supplier development, and uninterrupted supply of materials for manufacturing operations. This role requires strong expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain optimization within the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Supply Management
- Oversee end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, components, and services.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules.
- Implement effective inventory control and cost reduction strategies.
2. Strategic Sourcing
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and negotiation.
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks
3. Vendor Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to strengthen the supply base.
- Build long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations (quality, cost, delivery).
4. Cost Control & Negotiation
- Lead price negotiations and contract finalization with suppliers.
- Drive continuous cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to budget and cost targets.
5. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the purchase team.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
6. Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Implement best practices in procurement processes and systems.
- Drive digitalization and automation initiatives in procurement.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of automotive components and supply chain dynamics.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor development.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong cost management capabilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile preferred).
- MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (preferred).
Experience: 12–15 Years

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
