Description: TL is responsible for supervising daily coding operations, ensuring high levels of coding quality and maintaining productivity standards. This role requires an expert-level understanding of Profee surgery coding to coach the coding team to meet the client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and manage a team of Profee surgery coders; manage daily assignments, productivity, quality and TAT.

Coding Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Profee surgery coding guidelines, including the expert use of modifiers.

Surgical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge in multi-specialty surgery coding such as Orthopaedics, Integumentary, GI, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, GI, OBGYN etc.

Conduct daily team huddles to deliver internal & external quality feedback and 1:1 discussions; track goals, training needs, and performance improvement plans.

Provide training, mentoring, and support to coders and auditors on day-to-day coding.

Perform ATA’s, Root cause analysis, and compliance reviews to identify coding gaps and educate the team.

Stay updated on official coding guidelines (CMS, AHA Coding Clinic, CPT Assistant and payer-specific policies).

Develop DOU’s, SOP’s and workflow documents for the scope of work.

Should have good knowledge in Microsoft Excel to prepare and validate work assignments and daily production reports.
Qualifications & Skills:

Certification: Holding a Coding certification (CPC, COC, CCS-P, or equivalent).

Experience: 5+ years’ experience in multispecialty surgery coding with 1-2+ years in a lead/supervisory role.

CPT/HCPCS, ICD‑10‑CM, modifiers, global surgical packages, NCCI/MUE, payer rules, LCD/NCD and payer-specific guidelines.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Candidate must be open to Work from office (No WFH for TL Role).
