Job Summary
The Packing & Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all packing, dispatch, and logistics activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. The role includes coordinating with production, stores, transporters, and customers while maintaining proper documentation, inventory accuracy, safety standards, and team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Packing Management
* Supervise daily packing activities as per dispatch schedules.
* Ensure products are packed according to customer and quality requirements.
* Monitor packing material availability and coordinate replenishment with stores.
* Maintain packing quality standards and prevent product damage.
Dispatch Operations
* Plan and execute dispatch activities as per customer delivery commitments.
* Coordinate vehicle arrangements and transportation requirements.
* Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods.
* Monitor loading and unloading activities.
Documentation & Compliance
* Prepare and verify invoices, delivery challans (DC), e-way bills, and dispatch documents.
* Maintain accurate dispatch records and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Inventory Coordination
* Coordinate with stores and production departments for material availability.
* Track dispatched materials and maintain inventory accuracy.
* Monitor stock movement and report discrepancies.
Team Management
* Allocate daily tasks and responsibilities to dispatch personnel.
* Prepare shift schedules and monitor attendance.
* Train and guide team members on packing and dispatch procedures.
* Evaluate team performance and productivity.
Logistics Coordination
* Liaise with transporters and suppliers for smooth material movement.
* Resolve transportation and delivery-related issues.
* Track shipment status and ensure on-time deliveries.
Safety & Housekeeping
* Ensure adherence to safety procedures and workplace regulations.
* Implement and maintain 5S practices in the dispatch area.
* Maintain cleanliness and an organized work environment.
Reporting
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch reports.
* Report operational issues, delays, and performance metrics to management.
* Monitor dispatch efficiency and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications
* SSLC / HSC / Diploma / Any Bachelor's Degree.
* 2–5 years of experience in Packing, Dispatch, Logistics, or Stores operations.
* Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
