The Orthopaedic Fellow will work under the guidance of Dr. Karan Sobti to gain advanced clinical exposure, surgical training, and hands-on experience in the diagnosis and management of orthopaedic conditions. The fellowship is designed to enhance clinical skills, surgical competency, and academic knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in OPD consultations, patient assessments, and clinical evaluations
- Participate in ward rounds and ensure proper documentation of patient records
- Assist and perform orthopaedic surgical procedures under supervision
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
- Handle emergency orthopaedic cases as per hospital protocol
- Coordinate with nursing staff, physiotherapists, and other departments
- Maintain accurate case records in compliance with NABH standards
- Participate in academic activities such as case presentations, seminars, and CMEs
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
Eligibility Criteria:
- MS/DNB/D ortho in Orthopaedics (completed or pursuing final year)
- Valid medical registration
- Strong clinical and surgical interest in orthopaedics
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Skills Required:
- Basic surgical and clinical decision-making skills
- Knowledge of orthopaedic procedures and instruments
- Ability to work in a high-pressure clinical environment
- Good documentation and patient-handling skills
