Role Overview
The IT Support Engineer will deliver high-quality end-user support while administering core Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologies. This role combines frontline technical support with hands-on administration across platforms such as Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, and endpoint security solutions.
You will collaborate with senior engineers on security operations, automation initiatives, and platform improvements, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable IT services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
End User Support & IT Operations

Serve as the primary point of contact for IT incidents and service requests, including hardware, software, and SaaS applications.

Install, configure, and maintain Windows 11 laptops/desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.

Manage the complete ticket lifecycle through ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), ensuring timely resolution and clear documentation.

Provide support for both in-office and remote employees across global locations.
Microsoft 365 Administration

Administer Entra ID (Azure AD) objects including users, groups, and basic RBAC permissions.

Support Conditional Access policies under established security frameworks.

Manage Intune device lifecycle, including:

Autopilot deployments
-
Device compliance policies
-
Configuration profiles
-
Patch management rings
-
Proactive remediations
-
Support Exchange Online operations such as mailbox management, distribution groups, and mail flow rules.

Assist with Teams and SharePoint governance, including guest access, external sharing policies, and naming conventions.

Help maintain email authentication and security configurations including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Security & Compliance Support

Support Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft 365 security operations, including alert triage, device onboarding, and remediation activities.

Assist with Microsoft Purview compliance features, including DLP policies, sensitivity labels, retention policies, and eDiscovery.

Support Identity Governance processes, including access reviews and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
Automation & Reporting

Utilize PowerShell and Microsoft Graph (Graph PowerShell SDK) to automate routine administrative tasks.

Generate system health, compliance, and device reports.

Contribute to configuration documentation and version-controlled exports (e.g., Intune configuration JSON files).

Develop and maintain technical runbooks and operational documentation.
Monitoring & Observability

Monitor service health dashboards and performance metrics for Microsoft 365 services.

Assist with incident, problem, and capacity management processes.

Support creation of alerts, dashboards, and operational insights for IT infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
Experience
-
4-6 years of experience supporting hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 or Modern Workplace environments.

Experience supporting both onsite and remote users.

Hands-on experience with ITSM ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).

Strong troubleshooting experience across Windows devices, productivity platforms, and SaaS applications.
Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

Microsoft certifications such as:

MD-102 – Endpoint Administrator
-
MS-102 – Microsoft 365 Administrator
-
Additional Microsoft or endpoint security certifications are a plus.
Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.

Familiarity with email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

Exposure to Microsoft Purview compliance tools and security operations.

Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell.

Familiarity with Git/source control and basic KQL or Log Analytics is a plus.

Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global support environment.
