As an Interest Rate Derivatives Business Analyst at Finzly, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of our interest rate derivatives technology strategy, with additional exposure to foreign exchange products. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements for interest rate swaps, options, and other derivative products, conducting market research and competitor analysis, supporting the product development process, and ensuring that solutions meet customer and business needs. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in interest rate derivatives technology with experience in foreign exchange products, coupled with expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement. You must have a knack for problem-solving and an eye for detail, as well as an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You must also be able to think analytically and be driven to deliver high-quality analysis and recommendations.
- 7+ years of working experience in financial industry, preferably in Interest Rate Derivatives, with exposure to Foreign Exchange or Capital Markets
- 5+ years of in depth knowledge in interest rate derivatives products (swaps, options, futures, forwards) and foreign exchange products, including pricing, valuation, and risk management
- 3+ years of experience working in agile development environments, including requirements gathering, documenting user stories, and facilitating backlog refinement sessions
- Familiar with derivatives regulations (Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID II) and FX market rules/regulations that govern the ecosystem.
- Working knowledge in interest rate curves, discount factors, day count conventions, FX pricing, and trade lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge and experience in interest rate options (caps, floors, swaptions) and FX options (vanilla and exotic)
- Experience in analyzing and documenting requirements for derivatives trading platforms and risk management systems
- Client centric and analytical mindset in solution analysis and requirements definition
- Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
- Startup mindset (comfortable with quick pace, quick change, ambiguities)
- Strong organizational skills; A “can do” attitude, with an ability to problem-solve
- Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders
- Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance; A good understanding of innovative technologies and current technology trends

- You will be responsible for supporting the product development life cycle by gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting analysis, and working with the product leadership to translate business needs into detailed functional specifications
- Work collaboratively with squads/teams across engineering, operations, sales, legal, compliance, risk and strategic vendors to Deliver high-quality analysis, documentation, and requirements on time to support product delivery
- Acts as a liaison between customers and technical teams, gathering and analyzing customer requirements and translating them into detailed specifications for product and workflow design
- Support interest rate derivatives and FX product development initiatives by analyzing requirements, documenting user stories, facilitating backlog refinement sessions, and ensuring requirements are clear and testable.
- Support UAT and production release
- Contribute to the Go-to-Market readiness for product roll outs, such as providing training and support to teams in Operations, Client Services, Sales and other functional areas
- Evaluating processes and resources to identify potential limitations in product
- Analyzing design proposals and providing recommendations to maximize client adoption and product quality
- Performing comprehensive, in-depth research on interest rate derivatives, FX, and rates markets, including market structure, pricing models, and competitive landscape
