Furnitech is a family-run business in the building materials sector, specialising in premium drop ceiling tiles and acoustic solutions. With a strong foundation and rapid expansion across India, we are now looking to grow our presence in Hyderabad.
The Role
We’re looking for a motivated and independent Business Development Associate to establish and grow Furnitech’s footprint in the Chennai region. This is a field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, takes initiative, and is eager to grow with a scaling business.
You will be our sole representative in Chennai, responsible for building relationships, closing deals, and ensuring smooth coordination with our head office in Ahmedabad.
You must be able to communicate in Tamil (Native Fluency ), Hindi (Conversational Fluency), and English (Operational Fluency).
Responsibilities
- Identify and visit potential customers across Hyderabad using a provided customer list and self-sourced leads.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, dealers, and builders.
- Pitch Furnitech’s product range confidently and handle objections during sales discussions.
- Record all leads, interactions, and opportunities in the company’s CRM.
- Coordinate with the Accounts team in Ahmedabad for Proforma invoices, Sales invoices, and payment follow-ups.
- Ensure customers are updated on order and delivery status (handled via our Ahmedabad warehouse).
- Participate in an initial training programme at our head office in Ahmedabad post-joining.
Requirements:
- Based in Chennai and comfortable travelling within the city for client visits.
- 1–3 years of experience in field sales, business development, or client relationship roles (experience in building materials a plus).
- Self-starter with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and basic Excel usage.
- Comfortable working independently while coordinating remotely with the core team.
- Should be able to communicate in Tamil, English, and Hindi
