Assistant Manager – Purchase & Stores

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials (timber, hardware, foam, fabric, plywood, laminates, fittings) and engineering/mechanical spares
- Vendor development, negotiation, and rate contract finalization
- Oversee stores operations – inventory control, stock reconciliation, min-max levels, FIFO/FEFO practices
- Coordinate with production/planning teams to ensure material availability and avoid line stoppages
- Monitor purchase budgets, cost optimization, and reduce procurement lead times
- Implement and maintain ERP/SAP-based purchase and inventory systems
- Ensure vendor compliance (quality, delivery, commercial terms) and conduct vendor audits
- Manage import/local purchase documentation, GRN, and invoice processing coordination with finance
- Lead and supervise stores team, ensuring 5S and safety norms in warehouse/stores
Desired Candidate Profile
- BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
- 8–10 years in purchase & stores function, preferably in furniture, wood-based, metal fabrication, or allied manufacturing industries
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Hands-on with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally)
- Good understanding of BOM, costing, and inventory norms
- Team handling experience required
Pay: ₹800,634.83 - ₹1,000,286.81 per year
