Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Inward/Outward Supervisor to oversee the daily receipt and dispatch operations at our Birla Opus Paints (Trivandrum) warehouse. The ideal candidate should have experience in warehouse operations, inventory handling, documentation, and team supervision. The role requires ensuring timely material movement, inventory accuracy, and smooth coordination between warehouse, logistics, and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily inward and outward warehouse operations, including material receipt, storage, picking, loading, and dispatch.
- Verify incoming and outgoing materials against invoices, delivery challans, purchase orders, and other warehouse documents.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff, transporters, and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure accurate stock movement entries and documentation in the ERP/Warehouse Management System.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
- Supervise loading and unloading activities while ensuring safe handling of paint products and minimizing damages.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, warehouse safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Lead and guide warehouse assistants, pickers, and loaders to achieve daily operational targets.
- Coordinate with sales, accounts, and warehouse management to resolve dispatch, documentation, and inventory-related issues.
- Prepare daily inward, outward, and stock movement reports and provide regular operational updates to management.
- Monitor warehouse housekeeping and ensure proper storage practices are followed.
- Support the Warehouse Manager in achieving operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the paint, building materials industry.
- Experience in inward/outward operations, inventory management, and warehouse documentation.
- Working knowledge of SAP/ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
