As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank's Prime Financial Services Global Clearing Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for driving critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

Experience in core Java and J2EE frameworks

Solid SDLC experience including software design, coding, and delivery lifecycle management

Proficiency with AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools) to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and deliver effective solutions.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured and data-driven approach.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

ORM and RDBMS concepts with hands-on experience in Oracle DB.

Good understanding of Linux environments and shell scripting.

Experience with Maven, Jira, Git, and CI/CD tools.
