Costing Officer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Costing Officer to manage costing, inventory accounting, and import accounting activities in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in cost analysis, inventory control, MIS reporting, and import transaction accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare standard costing, actual costing, and product-wise cost sheets.
- Perform cost analysis, margin analysis, and overhead allocation.
- Manage inventory accounting, reconciliations, inventory ageing, and physical verification.
- Handle end-to-end accounting and control of import transactions, including Bills of Entry (BOE), import expenses, and goods in transit.
- Prepare MIS reports and dashboards related to costing, inventory, and import costs.
- Monitor inventory movements and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register (FAR), Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP), and asset capitalization records.
- Ensure compliance with Internal Financial Controls (IFC) and Internal Control Systems (ICS).
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, working capital improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Support statutory, tax, cost, and internal audits.
- Coordinate with Operations, Purchase, EXIM, Stores, and Finance teams for accurate costing and inventory reporting.
Requirements
- B.Com or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in costing, inventory accounting, and import accounting within a manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
