1. Scope of the role
- Responsible for End to End Production Management and Delivery of Casted parts of High End Raga Case & Bracelets (Investment Casting Process)
- Responsible for New Product Development, Internalization (Import Substitution) and Production Engineering of High End Raga Casting Components
- Implement Productivity Improvements and New age processes to reduce Waste, reduce Cost, Improve Quality and Safety in the Investment Casting Process
2. Job Profile
- Manufacturing Feasibility analysis of Casted Components and providing design solutions to deliver the design / brand requirements
- Process Planning of casting of New Products for effective and efficient delivery through design of manufacturing processes and control of cost with in the target
- Cost Estimate and Monitoring of cost of the New and Internalized products to ensure it meets the set target
- Planning , Installation and establishment of production resources for casting process to meet the production plan at optimum cost
- Quality planning for the casting process and rotating PDCA to ensure the function meets the target set for the quality metrics – FTA and CoPQ
- Establishment of cost elements, cost estimation and monitoring of cost for the casted components.
- Planning and monitoring of the vendor performance to ensure the profitability of the vendor and respond with actions to mitigate any deviation in the vendor profitability.
- Enable processes and systems to meet the delivery of the casted components and high end raga cases & bracelets as per market demand
3. Key Deliverables
- Installation and productionization of the casting process value chain as per the timelines
- Planning and achieving key performance metrics of casting production
- Meeting monthly production volume and weekly alignment delivery as per demand
- Delivery of new products as per the production and lead time plan
- Achieving and Improving FTA and CoPQ metric as per the plan
- Meeting the operation cost target and Inventory norms / turns as per the plan
- Driving improvement projects and implement processes to achieve quality excellence
- Adherence to the norms and standards as per the TBEM, IMS, OHSAS and WCM requirements
4. The right person
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Metallurgy
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the field of Investment Casting and New Product Development in Jewellery/Accessories Industries
- Should have Working experience in Casting Process - Lost Wax Investment Casting with process knowledge in machining, polishing and assembly
- Knowledge of product & tool design, simulation and process planning of a manufacturing process
- Experience in Production planning and scheduling with capacity planning
- Experience in Quality Planning, control and improvement techniques
- Knowledge on product costing and end user knowledge in SAP
- Working Knowledge in Office Tools and exposure to CAD/CAM
- Has entrepreneurial drive for new ideas and improvements
- High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment
- Ability to influence key stakeholders to drive effective decisions
- Analytical, Problem Solving & Data Driven Decision Making Skills
- Good oral and written communication skills in English and Tamil
Work Experience
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the field of Investment Casting and New Product Development in Jewellery/Accessories Industries
- Should have Working experience in Casting Process - Lost Wax Investment Casting with process knowledge in machining, polishing and assembly
