A Service Technician for Pumps installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots industrial, commercial, or residential pump systems. They ensure pumps operate efficiently and safely while minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission pump systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Repair or replace worn or damaged components such as seals, bearings, impellers, and motors.
- Test pump performance after servicing.
- Read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Maintain service records and prepare maintenance reports.
- Follow safety procedures and industry standards.
- Provide technical support and customer service on-site.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of centrifugal, submersible, and positive displacement pumps.
- Mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites.
Typical Qualifications:
- ITI, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering.
- Experience in pump maintenance and repair is preferred.
- Valid driver's license may be required for field service roles.
This role is common in industries such as water treatment, manufacturing, oil and gas, construction, power plants, and HVAC systems.
Pay: ₹9,356.62 - ₹22,000.00 per month
