Network and System Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network and System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security systems, and user support. The ideal candidate will ensure system reliability, security, performance, and smooth day-to-day IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
- Manage Windows/Linux servers and system infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery, and data restoration.
- Ensure system security through patches, antivirus, and monitoring tools.
- Maintain email systems, cloud services, and remote access solutions.
- Support LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi infrastructure across the organization.
- Diagnose hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT support.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role.
- Knowledge of:
- Windows Server / Linux Administration
- Active Directory & DNS/DHCP
- TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Routing & Switching
- Firewall and cybersecurity practices
- Virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Backup and recovery solutions
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience (customizable based on requirement).
