About the Role
We are looking for a creative Video Editor Intern who understands short-form content, Reels, YouTube Shorts, storytelling, motion graphics and modern AI-powered video creation.
The ideal candidate should understand that video editing is not only about cutting clips but also about creating hooks, retention, storytelling and engaging visual experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form videos.
- Edit educational, promotional, testimonial and informational videos.
- Convert raw footage into engaging and platform-ready content.
- Add captions, subtitles, transitions, sound effects, music and motion graphics.
- Create strong opening hooks for short-form videos.
- Perform basic colour correction and audio enhancement.
- Create text animations and motion graphics.
- Resize and adapt videos for different social media platforms.
- Create video thumbnails when required.
- Follow current Instagram, YouTube and social media video trends.
- Maintain organised project files and editing workflows.
- Work with the content and marketing team to execute creative concepts.
Required Software Skills
Knowledge of at least one professional editing platform:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- CapCut
- Final Cut Pro
Knowledge of Canva or Photoshop will be an advantage.
AI Skills – Mandatory
The candidate should be comfortable learning and using modern AI video tools for:
- AI video generation
- AI image generation
- AI voiceovers
- AI subtitles and transcription
- Background removal/replacement
- Video enhancement
- Script and content assistance
- AI-assisted editing
Examples include ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Runway, HeyGen, Higgsfield, Canva AI and other emerging AI video tools.
AI tools may change rapidly, so the candidate must be willing to continuously learn new platforms.
