Role Overview
The Sales Head – Inside Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the company’s inside sales function. The role involves leading, mentoring, and scaling the sales team, developing effective sales strategies, managing the complete sales funnel, and ensuring achievement of revenue and enrollment targets.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in high-volume inside sales, preferably within the EdTech, Education, SaaS, or B2C/B2B sales environment, with a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the inside sales strategy to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Lead, manage, coach, and motivate a team of Inside Sales Managers, Team Leaders, and Sales Executives.
- Own the complete sales funnel, including lead allocation, calling, qualification, counseling, follow-ups, conversion, and closure.
- Establish sales targets, KPIs, incentive structures, and performance standards for the sales team.
- Monitor daily and weekly sales performance and take corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Improve lead-to-counselling and counselling-to-enrollment conversion rates.
- Work closely with Marketing and Lead Generation teams to improve lead quality and acquisition efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product, Academic, Customer Success, and Operations teams to improve the overall customer journey.
- Develop sales scripts, pitch frameworks, objection-handling techniques, and sales processes.
- Use CRM and sales analytics to track pipeline health, productivity, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
- Identify gaps in the sales funnel and implement strategies to improve productivity and conversion.
- Conduct regular sales reviews, forecasting meetings, and performance discussions.
- Build a strong sales culture focused on accountability, customer experience, and target achievement.
- Recruit, train, onboard, and develop sales talent as the business scales.
- Manage sales forecasts and provide regular revenue projections to senior management.
- Analyze competitor activity, market trends, customer feedback, and pricing to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to ethical sales practices and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing large sales teams and achieving aggressive revenue targets.
- Experience in EdTech, Education, SaaS, B2C, B2B, or high-volume telesales is preferred.
- Strong understanding of lead management, sales funnels, CRM systems, and sales analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, motivate, and retain high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and data-driven approach to sales management.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
