Structural Fabricator
A Structural Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and preparing structural steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, and ensuring that fabricated structures meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Measure, mark, cut, and shape structural steel using appropriate tools and machinery.
- Assemble structural components such as beams, columns, trusses, platforms, and frames.
- Perform fit-up activities before welding, ensuring proper alignment and dimensions.
- Operate fabrication equipment including cutting machines, grinders, drills, and hydraulic presses.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Identify and report material defects or fabrication issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company quality standards, safety procedures, and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and quality inspectors to complete fabrication activities on schedule.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Fitter, Fabrication, Mechanical, or a related trade (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in structural steel fabrication (or as required).
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques, steel grades, and welding preparations.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as tape measures, Vernier calipers, and spirit levels.
- Basic knowledge of welding processes and safety practices.

Working Conditions
- Work in fabrication shops or construction sites.
- May require overtime and shift work based on project requirements.
- Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety regulations.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
