Job Description – Hotel Manager (FOSTAC Certified)
The Hotel Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, efficient management, and adherence to hospitality and food safety standards. This role involves supervising hotel staff, managing guest relations, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with FOSTAC (Food Safety Training & Certification) guidelines and hospitality regulations.
Key Responsibilities1. Hotel Operations Management
- Overseeing the overall daily operations of the hotel, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest services.
- Ensuring smooth coordination between departments for efficient hotel functioning.
- Monitoring occupancy levels, reservations, and room availability.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hospitality services.
2. Guest Relationship Management
- Ensuring excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
- Building long-term relationships with guests and corporate clients.
- Monitoring guest reviews and implementing service improvements.
3. Food Safety & FOSTAC Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with FSSAI and FOSTAC food safety standards.
- Monitoring hygiene and sanitation practices in kitchens, restaurants, and food handling areas.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure food quality and safety compliance.
- Training hotel and kitchen staff on food safety procedures and best practices.
4. Staff Supervision & Training
- Managing recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of hotel staff.
- Preparing duty rosters and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Conducting employee training on hospitality standards, customer service, and safety procedures.
- Promoting teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment.
5. Financial & Administrative Management
- Managing hotel budgets, operational expenses, and revenue targets.
- Monitoring daily sales, occupancy reports, and financial performance.
- Preparing operational and management reports.
- Ensuring proper billing, vendor coordination, and inventory management.
6. Sales & Business Development
- Supporting marketing and promotional activities to increase hotel occupancy.
- Coordinating with travel agencies, corporate clients, and online booking platforms.
- Developing strategies to improve customer retention and revenue generation.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activities.
7. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with local hospitality regulations, licensing, and safety norms.
- Maintaining workplace safety standards for employees and guests.
- Implementing emergency response and risk management procedures.
- Ensuring fire safety and environmental compliance standards are followed.
8. Quality Assurance
- Monitoring service quality across all hotel operations.
- Conducting regular audits and inspections to maintain hospitality standards.
- Ensuring timely maintenance of hotel infrastructure and facilities.
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
