Job Summary
The CNC & VMC Machine Trainer is responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training on CNC and VMC machines to trainees, operators, diploma holders, or engineers. The role focuses on developing machining skills, machine operation proficiency, programming knowledge, safety awareness, and industry‑ready competencies aligned with manufacturing standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Instruction
- Conduct theoretical and hands‑on training on CNC and VMC machines.
- Train candidates on:
- CNC turning and milling operations
- VMC machine setup and operation
- Tool selection, offsets, and work holding
- Machine zero setting and job proving
- Deliver training on G‑codes, M‑codes, and basic to intermediate CNC programming.
- Explain engineering drawings, GD&T basics, and machining tolerances.
Practical Demonstration & Supervision
- Demonstrate machine operation, setup, and job execution.
- Supervise trainees during practical sessions to ensure correct methods and safety.
- Guide trainees in troubleshooting machine and program errors.
- Ensure proper usage and care of tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
Safety & Compliance
- Train candidates on machine safety standards and shop‑floor discipline.
- Enforce 5S, PPE usage, and safe operating procedures.
- Ensure machines are operated in compliance with safety and quality norms.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Assess trainee performance through:
- Practical tests
- Written assessments
- On‑machine evaluations
- Maintain training records, attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
- Provide feedback and improvement plans to trainees.
Curriculum & Content Development
- Assist in developing and updating:
- Training modules
- Lesson plans
- Practical exercises
- Assessment materials
- Align training content with industry standards and current manufacturing practices.
Machine & Lab Maintenance
- Ensure CNC/VMC machines are maintained in working condition.
- Report machine breakdowns or tooling requirements.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams when required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or related discipline.
- Certified CNC/VMC training qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
Required Experience
- 3–8 years of hands‑on experience with CNC Turning and VMC Machines.
- Prior experience as a Trainer, Instructor, or Senior CNC Operator is preferred.
- Industry or skill‑development training institute experience is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- CNC Turning & VMC operations
- Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls (any one or more)
- CNC programming (G & M codes)
- Cutting tools, tooling geometry, and materials
- Measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge)
- Basic understanding of CAM software is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
