1. Safety Inbox Management & Technician Coaching
- Review and manage the Samsara Safety Inbox on a daily basis.
- Review all triggered safety events and accurately classify them as:
- Needs Review
- Coaching Required
- Resolved Events
- Conduct first-level coaching sessions with technicians regarding safety violations and unsafe driving behaviors.
- Escalate recurring or high-risk safety incidents to management.
- Track recurring safety trends and recommend corrective actions and training initiatives.
- Ensure all safety events are documented, coached, and closed within defined timelines.
2. Technician Schedule & Time Verification
- Create, update, and maintain technician schedules within the Samsara platform.
- Monitor technician clock-in and clock-out records to ensure shift compliance.
- Verify technician GPS activity against scheduled working hours when attendance or productivity concerns arise.
- Investigate discrepancies between scheduled shifts and actual field activity.
- Generate reports and escalate repeated attendance, scheduling, or time management concerns.
3. Reporting & Operational Compliance
- Perform detailed analysis of Samsara reports to identify operational gaps and compliance issues.
- Monitor technician engagement and system usage to ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare operational reports, trend analysis, and compliance dashboards for leadership.
- Support the development of standardized reporting processes and operational workflows.
Future Responsibilities4. Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) Compliance
- Monitor technician compliance with Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
- Verify completion of:
- Pre-trip vehicle inspections
- Post-trip vehicle inspections
- Identify missed or incomplete inspections and escalate non-compliance.
- Track inspection trends and recommend improvement measures.
5. Training Compliance Management
- Monitor technician training progress through the Samsara Training Dashboard.
- Track:
- Training completion scores
- Past-due training
- Outstanding training assignments
- Escalate overdue training to field leadership.
- Support coaching initiatives to improve overall training completion rates.
Additional Responsibilities
- Monitor camera health and operational status.
- Track blocked or offline cameras and coordinate follow-up.
- Prepare safety trend reports and compliance dashboards.
- Support technician accountability initiatives.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational compliance.
- Standardize technician coaching practices across field operations.
- Improve data collection accuracy and reporting efficiency.
