Key Responsibilities
- Workforce & Floor Management
- Supervise daily tasks of bench workers, including stone setters, polishers, and casting technicians.
- Allocate work orders according to skill level to hit tight shipping deadlines.
- Maintain strict factory floor discipline, attendance, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Production Planning & Execution
- Monitor the end-to-end manufacturing timeline from casting and filing to final polishing.
- Interpret technical CAD layouts and design sheets to guide correct physical assembly.
- Identify bottlenecks early on the bench and implement corrective workflows.
- Quality Control (QC) & Inspection
- Inspect work-in-progress pieces under magnification for precise gemstone alignment and mounting.
- Reject defected items early to prevent final delivery delays.
- Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for zero-defect final finishing.
- Material Control & Loss Management
- Issue precise, weighed volumes of gold, silver, or platinum to individual artisans.
- Oversee comprehensive gold dust collection, sweeping recovery, and refining processes.
- Track and minimize diamond breakage or missing gemstone events on the workshop floor.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 3+ years of hands-on supervisory experience inside a jewelry workshop or export manufacturing facility.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of core manufacturing stages (rubber molding, investment casting, filing, prong/pave stone setting, rhodium plating).
- Education: A high school diploma or a graduate degree; a specialized certification/diploma in Jewelry Manufacturing or Design is highly preferred.
- Management Skills: Strong leadership presence with proven capability in managing blue-collar workforce or traditional artisan networks.
- Software Skills: Functional computer literacy with basic proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets for material tracking.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
