Position Summary: The Procurement Head is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that ensure cost-effective purchasing, uninterrupted supply of goods and services, vendor management, contract negotiations, and inventory optimization across all business units. The role is critical in driving cost savings, maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational excellence within hospitality operations.
Job Description:
Strategic Procurement
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Establish annual procurement plans, budgets, and sourcing strategies.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop reliable suppliers and service providers.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service standards.
- Build strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure favorable commercial terms.
- Maintain an approved vendor database across all categories.
Sourcing & Negotiations
- Lead procurement activities for Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Maintenance, IT, Marketing, and Capital Expenditure requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, payment terms, rebates, and service-level agreements.
- Ensure procurement decisions balance quality, cost, and operational requirements.
- Execute annual rate contracts and framework agreements.
Cost Control & Budget Management
- Drive procurement savings initiatives and monitor procurement KPIs.
- Analyze spend patterns and recommend cost optimization measures.
- Ensure purchases remain within approved budgets and financial guidelines.
- Present procurement reports and savings achievements to management.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
- Coordinate with store, operations, and finance teams to maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Minimize stock-outs, excess inventory, wastage, and expired stock.
- Oversee procurement planning based on forecasted consumption and business requirements.
- Ensure timely replenishment of critical operational supplies.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies and internal controls.
- Maintain transparency and fairness in vendor selection and purchasing decisions.
- Monitor adherence to contractual obligations and statutory requirements.
- Implement procurement SOPs, approval matrices, and audit controls.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor procurement executives, buyers, and store teams.
- Set departmental objectives and performance standards.
- Conduct training on procurement best practices and vendor management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
