We are seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher to inspire students through vocal and/or instrumental music education. The role involves nurturing musical talent, building performance confidence, and fostering appreciation for diverse musical traditions in alignment with CBSE guidelines.
The ideal candidate should create a vibrant and engaging music culture within the school while supporting holistic student development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured music lessons across assigned grades.
- Teach vocal music (Indian / Western) and/or instrumental music as per expertise.
- Introduce students to rhythm, melody, notation, and basic music theory.
- Align lessons with CBSE co-scholastic and arts education framework.
- Train students for assemblies, annual day, competitions, and inter-school events.
- Lead choir / band / school music groups.
- Prepare students for cultural and national celebrations.
- Support recording and sound coordination during school events.
- Identify and nurture musical talent.
- Encourage stage confidence and collaborative performance.
- Promote discipline and teamwork through ensemble activities.
- Prepare lesson plans and annual curriculum outlines.
- Maintain student progress records.
- Assess students through practical evaluations.
- Contribute to the creative culture of the school.
- Support interdisciplinary projects integrating music with other subjects.
- Maintain and manage musical instruments and equipment.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Music (Vocal / Instrumental).
- Certification in Classical (Hindustani / Carnatic) or Western Music preferred.
- B.Ed preferred (as per CBSE norms).
- 2–5 years of experience in a CBSE or reputed school.
- Ability to conduct choir and manage large student groups.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
